Last month, Walgreens had the Tide Simple & Clean Laundry Detergent on sale for $2.99 and when I went to buy some, they were sold out so I was able to get a rain check to "protect" the sale price.
The store finally stocked up on it and I was able to get some! I was also able to get my 15% military discount and use the $3/2 manufacturer coupon, making it $1.04 a bottle! Original price:$5.99
Rain check price:$2.99 each, 15% military discount----> $2.54x2=$5.08-$3/2 cpn=$2.08 for two or $1.04 a bottle!
So next time you go to the store and they are sold out of a particular item that you want to buy, ask for a rain check! It will guarantee the price up to 60 days. They can work in your favor in some cases....like a great high value coupon!
